London again – but more classical

This time I went to London and spent more time culturally – at the British Museum and at the Victoria & Albert Museum.
I can’t repeat it as often as possible: how important it is to open museums to all people!
Even with shopping bags, coming from their tours to spend only half an hour – without extra fees and so on.
That is a way to make culture and education available to everybody.
If you are well off and enjoyed the visit you even donate …

Springtime skiing

Two weeks ago – time is moving fast these days – I had the opportunity to go to Chamonix – Mont Blanc:

very famous and called the “capital” of alpinism and winter sports …

As we had the Mont Blanc Unlimited-Card we went to every skiing area (Brévent – Flégère, Les Houches, Les grands Montets, La Balme / Vallorcine and Courmayeur) and tried out the easy and the black pistes!

It was also sometimes scary, at least for me, as we went to the Aiguille du MIdi at 3800 m and there you see 1000 m down into nothing …

It is a worthwhile experience to visit the area and I liked most the afternoon at La mer de glace when the sun didn’t shine at the glacier anymore and it started to “talk”, making constantly cracking noises and sounds!

On top of the Aiguille du Midi:

This is nice skiing …
