Rainy but still nice – Überlingen at the Bodensee

Last saturday, the saturday before Easter, we went to Lake Constance, to Überlingen.

It’s a nice city with a long history and a beautiful church (Münster St. Nicholas), even on a rainy day:

And another specialty: the lazy fur or the the genuine lazyness …

Finally, some modern view: the fountain of the artist Peter Lenk, showing the rider over the Bodensee after a poem of  Gustav Schwab.

It depicts a rider who is looking for the ferryboat in the winter and crosses the sea without noticing. When he reaches the other side, there people congratulating him for his deed but he is so shocked that he falls dead from his horse.
